Is there a minimum age for participants?
No, anyone can register for this event. You can even register your dog if you like!
Do I need to raise sponsorship to take part in this event?
Participants are not obliged to raise sponsorship to take part, but if you would like to receive your very own Superhero medal you we ask that you raise a minimum of £20 sponsorship per person. Or, you could donate £20 to receive your medal and then just let us know that you have chosen to do this. Any money you raise, big or small will help to keep the helicopter flying and saving lives across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly!
Do I have to dress up in a superhero costume?
Dressing up as a superhero is optional! If you’d rather dress just as the hero you are, without a costume, then that’s absolutely fine with us too. It’s the taking part and having fun that matters! And if you still want to raise some money to receive your medal then that’s great.
What do I do if I don’t want to set up a JustGiving page, but would still like to take part and raise some money?
Simply email fundraising@cornwallairambulancetrust.org and our fundraising team will send you a Sponsorship form for any cash donations from family, friends and colleagues. Please don’t forget to ask your sponsors to fill out all the columns so we can claim up to 25% gift aid.
Where and how can I complete my 5k in a day – Superhero Challenge?
You can complete your 5k mission wherever you like, however you like! Whether you skip, cycle, run, walk, and choose to complete your mission in your local park, at home, or on the beach; the choice is yours! Whether you dress as the hero you already are or get creative with your costume and don a cape and boots; it’s your challenge YOUR way! We only ask that you follow government guidelines on social distancing, share your photos on our Facebook Event page and have lots of fun taking part.
Who can I speak to if I need help with setting up my Fundraising page or if I have any other questions?
Simply email fundraising@cornwallairambulancetrust.org or call 01637 889926 and our fundraising team will be happy to help and support you with anything you might need!
Do I need to register?
Yes – we would love it if you could register yourself and anyone else in your group/family that is taking part, so we know how many amazing ‘Superhero’ supporters are participating. We can then ensure you receive all the information, as well as any support with fundraising that you might require.
Do I have to complete my challenge between 1 and 3 April?
No, if you are unable to complete your 5k mission during this time, simply register yourself and anyone else taking part and just let us know when you plan to complete it. You can do it anytime that works for you!
Do you need any evidence that I have completed the Superhero Challenge to receive my medal?
You won’t need to give evidence that you completed your Superhero challenge, but if you’d like to keep everyone that has donated in the loop, you can record your route via the free Strava app.
How do I get my sponsorship money to you?
There are a number of ways you can get the sponsorship money you have raised to Cornwall Air Ambulance!

If you have collected cash donations as well, you can pay the money raised into your bank account and then make a donation on your online page. Or you can add these as an offline amount on your online page and send in the cash via the below options.

How do I keep track of how many kilometres I have done?
Strava is a free app that is easy to use to track your kilometres. You can even link Strava to your JustGiving page or social media to keep family and friends up-to-date with your challenge.
Can you send me the downloadable fundraising items in the post?
If you don’t have access to a printer, a member of our team will be more than happy to send out these items to you by post. Just email fundraising@cornwallairambulancetrust.org or call 01637 889926 and simply let us know what you’d like and how many.
