Cornwall Air Ambulance’s Autumn Open Day returned last Sunday 8th September, with a twist. Opening its doors to the public, the charity gave visitors the chance to learn how to use a defibrillator, as well as putting their CPR skills to the test with an interactive challenge.
A quiz night in Truro organised by Barclays Corporate team has raised thousands of pounds for Cornwall Air Ambulance.
Around 700 green-fingered visitors attended, raising over £5000 for the charity. As well as picking up plants, visitors also took the opportunity to meet the crew, see the helicopter up close, enter the Grand Draw to win a MINI and grab a bargain from the pop-up charity shop.
Richard and Judy hosted a lunch held and supported by Talland Bay Hotel, at which over £20,000 was raised for the New Heli Appeal.
Cornish singer Josh Curnow has been unveiled as the latest ambassador for the New Heli Appeal. The former Britain’s Got Talent star is supporting the lifesaving charity after being airlifted himself as a child.
