30 for 30In 1987, Cornwall was the first county in the UK to launch an air ambulance helicopter. Now, 30 years on, the crew are tasked to around 700 emergency missions each year and have attended more than 26,000 emergencies. The missions, to people in their most desperate hour of need, are funded by people like you.

To celebrate 30 years of saving lives this year, Cornwall Air Ambulance is launching the 30 For 3O campaign. Put simply, the campaign is asking supporters to theme their fundraising around doing 30 things for 30 years  – or 30 For 30.

This could include selling 30 delicious homemade cakes, getting sponsored to build 30 sand castles, or throwing a party for 30 friends. The possibilities are endless, but some other ideas could include:

·         Swimming 30 lengths of your local pool

·         Holding a 30 pence jumble sale

·         Getting sponsored to walk 30 miles

·         Getting friends and family to sponsor you to be silent for 30 minutes

Having Cornwall Air Ambulance branding at your event will let people know who you’re raising money for and where their donations will go. The charity can provide sponsor forms, collections jars, posters, balloons and banners to help your event go off with a bang.

If you are stuck for ideas, call on 01637 889926 and we’ll be happy to provide some inspiration. Or, if you’ve already decided, we’d love to know what you’re up to. Send an email to enquiries@cornwallairambulancetrust.org. Don’t forget to share your fundraising on social media using the hashtag #30for30.
