Cornwall Air Ambulance welcomes you to help Save the U.K’s Charities, who are joining forces to promote a national campaign, The 2.6 Challenge.
The campaign is in response to the current Covid-19 crisis, which has seen a stop to public events, including fundraising events, such as the London Marathon, which typically raises over £65m for charities every year.
The charity sector is coming together to offer a unique opportunity of this one off event, which will mark a moment in history, and help to boost depleted charity funds throughout the country.
The 2.6 Challenge asks charity supporters to dream up an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26.
Simply decide what you want to do, set up an online fundraising page via twopointsixchallenge.co.uk or do your own for Cornwall Air Ambulance via JustGiving or Virgin Money Giving, and then go ahead and complete your challenge, sharing your story with friends and family.
Any activity must conform to the Government guidelines on social distancing and exercising.
Your challenge can start from Sunday 26th April, and you should aim to complete the challenge by 30th April. For example, you could do an activity for 26 minutes or 2.6 minutes, depending on difficulty, or perhaps sign up 26 of your nearest and dearest to join you virtually for an activity.
The idea is to be active, have fun and help to support the U.K’s charities.
The campaign is supported by the Charities Aid Foundation, the Institute of Fundraising, the Small Charities Coalition, the Office for Civil Society, Sport England, Let’s Do This, Virgin Money Giving and JustGiving.
