A collection of residential gardens in the village of Polruan. The gardens are all different with lovely views of the sea, and/or Fowey Harbour and estuary, mostly created in challenging conditions, such as steep slopes, winds and salt spray. Each garden has met the challenges in different ways creating diverse and delightful gardens. Landscaping of the slopes in the gardens is often met with the use of local stone.
A map of all the participating gardens can be purchased from the local village post office at a charge of £10.00. Each garden will have a collection tin to which visitors can add donations if they wish.
There are public toilets on the quay, and at the car park. There are 2 car parks, one at the top of the village and one further down. Most of the gardens have steps so wheelchair access in most gardens is not possible.
Booking not required. Donations encouraged.
