Any size of gift, large or small, will make a difference. It’s a wonderful way that you can help very seriously sick and injured people who are facing a potentially life threatening situation, and who need the life saving skills and speed to give them the best possible chance.
This is why Gifts in Will’s matter:
A gift in your will can help us, be there for people and their families in the future, your gift will be the fuel that powers the helicopter on a lifesaving mission, the medical equipment that helps the paramedics deliver the best treatment, the kit that keeps the crew safe, and most importantly it will be the gift that keeps families together.
It is a myth that you have to be wealthy to leave a gift in your Will, nothing could be further from the truth, everyone can leave something as it costs you nothing today, but makes a world of difference for someone tomorrow. So, after taking care of your family and friends, you’ll be amazed at what one final gift, no matter how big or small, can do.
We often hear from airlifted patients and their families who want to share with us the difference the crew made to them in their hour of need. We respond to missions to assist people young or old, resident or on holiday, when the emergency phone rings, we respond. You can read some of our patient’s stories here.
Since 1987, gifts in Wills have helped us, as we have flown over 27,000 missions as people, like you, look to the sky as the helicopter flies overhead, you know that your gift generously given today, tomorrow with your help we may be helping us to save lives and save time. In recent years the number of gifts left to charities has increased. It would be wonderful if you would consider including a gift to Cornwall Air Ambulance when you decide it is time to make your Will, or the next time you make changes to it.
Legacy donations play a vital role in our work
If we can increase the amount donated through legacies we can increase the number of missions we fund. Whatever the amount we are extremely grateful for any gift that’s been left to us as it will continue to ensure we can care for people in a medical emergency in Cornwall.
That is why leaving us a gift in your Will to Cornwall Air Ambulance would be so powerful.
Your Will is private and personal, and we would never ask you to tell us you’re leaving a gift to Cornwall Air Ambulance. However, if you are happy to share this news, the Air Crew would love to invite you and a friend on a special visit to meet them, so they can show you the helicopter they work on everyday, and explain how your gift will make a difference in the future.
Leaving a Gift to Cornwall Air Ambulance is a wonderful way to be remembered, a special way to make sure that, after you’re gone, you will help to save the lives of others.
“Two year old Talan was in a road traffic accident leaving him with injuries so severe the police closed the Tamar Bridge to allow his parents to get to the hospital, and he had to be induced into a coma for two days.
In the impact, Talan’s little head was hit so hard his skull was fractured right over his forehead. He also suffered an injury to his shoulder as well as seat belt bruising.
The Cornwall Air Ambulance crew arrived on scene and gave emergency treatment to Talan. He was wrapped up and air lifted to Derriford hospital.
After initial tests, it was decided Talan would need the expertise of the Children’s Ward at Bristol Hospital. The crew flew him up to Bristol to receive specialist treatment.”
Your gift could help someone like Talan, please help us to help more people.
