This year alone Cornwall Air Ambulance has flown more than 800 missions throughout the county, yet we rely on your donations to keep saving lives.
Every year we airlift around 80 children, and in the future we will rely on the children of today to fund the lifesaving flights of tomorrow. Therefore, we are committed to inspiring young people to become our future fundraisers.
At Cornwall Air Ambulance we have a member of the team dedicated to educating young people across Cornwall about what we do at the Air Ambulance, how to be safe in the county and basic first aid skills, plus much, much more. Ferne Peart, our Education Officer, is working hard behind the scenes planning fun and interactive lessons for teachers, schools and community groups. Ferne is really excited to get all these ideas launched ready for the new academic year in September 2022! Keep your eyes peeled for what Ferne has got planned for Helifest on the 16th July 2022.
We are supported by many schools, colleges, groups, churches and clubs around the county. We are so thankful for your support, because of you we are able to keep the air ambulance flying.
Talks and Educational Visits
Ferne and her team really enjoy adventuring around the county meeting the future generation. We love educating people about the Cornwall Air Ambulance and love coming in to your schools, club or community group.
The talks are fun, informative and inspiring for all. If you are interested in a talk or educational visit please contact ferne@cornwallairambulancetrust.org. From here, we can discuss and adapt our talks to benefit and inspire your group, whether that’s bringing along some flying suits and helmets, or challenging them to reveal the secret message in an orienteering task!
Charity of the Year
We would be honoured to be your schools charity of the year. Having your local air ambulance as your “Charity of the Year” will bring your community together to support a hugely worthy cause, while having fun and making friends through fundraising experiences.
You will be supported by our Education Officer Ferne and our experienced fundraising team who can guide you at every stage to make the most out of the close partnership. You will have access to our Cornwall Air Ambulance Education lessons which are supported with a PowerPoint and Activity Sheet. These lessons can be used in the following areas: Numeracy, Literacy, Geography, Science and PSHE. If you are looking for a particular resource or talk to support, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and Ferne will help you to create the perfect resource.
Not only that, we will also thank you for your incredible support through our ‘High Flyers of the Month’ in each monthly e-newsletter, on social media and in our supporter newsletter, Airtime.
Sponsor Equipment
It’s nice to know where your donations are going. You may like to fundraise towards a specific goal such as a piece of lifesaving equipment for our aircraft, a new pair of paramedic shoes or help towards a stretcher for our new helicopter! Get in touch with us and we can tell you what your donations could go towards.
Hold an Event in Aid of Cornwall Air Ambulance
We have collection buckets, literature and inexpensive goodies to support your group or school when they hold events such as coffee mornings in aid of the charity.

Volunteer
Cornwall Air Ambulance would struggle to operate without the hard work, generosity and enthusiasm of our volunteers.
Could your members or pupils donate their time volunteering at an event, supermarket bag pack or at one of our retail shops across the county? It can be a great bonding activity and is always fun.
At Cornwall Air Ambulance we are keen to support anyone who is involved in the Duke of Edinburgh Challenge or looking for a Year 10 Work Experience placement. If this is something you would be interested in, please get in contact with Ferne, ferne@cornwallairambulancetrust.org.
