For one week every year, we team up with local Will Writers who waive their fee for basic Will writing, donating it to Cornwall Air Ambulance. Each Will Writer has limited space, so please book to avoid missing out.
Illness and accidents don't discriminate, they can affect any of your friends or family at any time. Most people in Cornwall know of somebody who has been airlifted and you never know who might need the service next; your gift is a lasting legacy and for the people it saves, it's priceless.
Gifts in Wills fund 1 in 3 missions, your generosity will enable highly trained aircrew to help save more lives and keep more families together. You can make the difference.
Harry’s Story
A trip to the beach turned into a lifechanging experience for the Roberts family last year. Five-year-old Harry was excitedly heading towards Trevone Beach when he suddenly fell off the cliff, 6 metres on to rocks below. After suffering a serious head injury in the fall, Harry was treated on the scene in a matter of minutes by Cornwall Air Ambulance paramedics and airlifted to Royal Cornwall Hospital, going on to make a full recovery.
Harry’s mother Becky said: “We were very lucky; it could have been a very different story. Harry is doing very well now and a lot of that is down to the responsiveness of the Cornwall Air Ambulance.”
Keith’s Story
Keith was on his garage roof on a beautiful summer’s morning preparing to paint the exterior walls of his house in Porthleven when he suddenly developed severe chest pains. Paramedics from the ambulance service assessed Keith and discovered he had suffered a heart attack. With time critical, they immediately requested Cornwall Air Ambulance to transfer Keith to hospital for further treatment. Cornwall Air Ambulance got Keith to Royal Cornwall Hospital in just 7 minutes.
Wife Sharon said: “The doctors at the hospital told me he had about 5 minutes to spare. Keith’s heart damage would be a lot worse if he didn’t get there as quick as he did.”
Whatever your reason for writing a Will, after you have taken care of your loved ones, leaving a gift to Cornwall Air Ambulance will help people in their hour of need. If you would like to discuss writing a Will, please book your appointment with one of the Will Writer's below, or you can call Cornwall Air Ambulance on 01637 889926 ext. 128 for an informal chat.
