Motor Fuel Group (MFG), previously known as MRH Retail, have been supporting Cornwall Air Ambulance at their petrol stations across Cornwall and beyond.

Customers who opted to donate 25p when paying for fuel by card raised an incredible £20,504.68 in 2018.

MFG is the largest independent forecourt operator in the UK with over 900 stations operating under the BP, Shell, Esso, Texaco, JET and Murco fuel brands.

Graham Timbers, Managing Director of Operations, said: “MFG is dedicated to supporting the work of a number of leading UK charities. Cornwall Air Ambulance offers a valuable, lifesaving service and we are proud to support them from our network of forecourts located throughout the south west of England.”

Stephanie Bray, Corporate Fundraising Officer at Cornwall Air Ambulance, said: “I’d like to thank MFG and all their customers for this amazing donation. It’s great to see businesses like this making a commitment to support local charities such as Cornwall Air Ambulance which makes a real difference to people’s lives every day. We hope that people will keep donating in the future.”

Cornwall Air Ambulance needs to raise £2.5 million by April 2020 to bring a bigger, faster and more powerful air ambulance helicopter to Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. So far, just over £1 million has been raised.

You can help save more lives in Cornwall by donating at MFG petrol stations, filling collection jars in many shops and hospitality outlets, or by texting SAVE to 70144 which will donate £5 to the New Heli Appeal.
