Plant Sale and Open Day

With Spring well and truly in the air, thoughts are turning to one of the most important and enjoyable events in the Cornwall Air Ambulance calendar – the annual Plant Sale. So if you love nothing more than tending to your window boxes, creating your own ecological paradise or digging for victory, why not pop along. The sale will be held at the fabulous Cornwall Air Ambulance headquarters, just outside of Newquay.

All plants have kindly been donated by local garden centres and nurseries so 100% of the proceeds from the sale will help to keep your helicopter flying.

The Plant Sale will be held on Saturday 18^th May 11.00am – 3.00pm, in addition to the plants there will be a garden themed raffle, pop-up charity shop, refreshments available as well as the opportunity to see Cornwall’s Air Ambulance helicopter up close and meet the crew (mission dependent)!

So spread the word to your green fingered friends and pop along for tea and biscuits and a forage in the foliage, in the knowledge that your support will help keep Cornwall’s Air Ambulance flying.

The Mega SUP Cup in aid of Cornwall Air Ambulance’s New Heli Appeal

The Mega SUP is a charity event being run by the students of Falmouth Marine School in aid of the New Heli Appeal.

The event will be taking place on Saturday 2nd June at the Stithians Activity Centre and costs £10 per person to enter with the fee being donated towards the New Heli Appeal.

You can enter a team of up to eight people with no experience necessary and equipment will be provided on the day.

Cornish Mini Club – Riviera Run 2019

3rd to 6th May 2019
Pentewan Sands Holiday Park, St Austell, PL26 6BT

Cornish Mini Club would like you to join them for an action-packed Riviera Run from 3-6th May 2019 at Pentewan Sands Holiday Park, St Austell to help us celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Mini. Day visitors are £10 per car per day. Cornwall Air Ambulance has been selected to be one of the two chosen charities this year.

Riviera Run 2019 brings many new features to the event including Dyno Driven Rolling Road, extra Show N Shine classes for both classic and BMW minis, Friday Night Movie showing Top Gun with tickets selling at £15 per car and a Monday Run to Lands End.

There will be a display by the Fire Brigade, a car polishing demonstration and gear box build advice from Guessworks. For those that like to compete there will be competitions such as Rocker Cover Racing, Loudest Exhaust and Stereo Sound off, Glow Show (Mini’s with decorated lights) and a Show N Shine.

Evening entertainment includes a Fancy-Dress Competition on Saturday night with live band Motown Pirates and on Sunday night singer Sarah Devonshire followed by Karaoke.

Not forgetting THE RIVIERA RUN cruise on Sunday! For those staying longer there will be a run to Lands End on Monday 6th May finishing with a Fish and Chip supper plus a Cream Tea run on Tuesday 7th May.
