Blades of hope

Saving more lives with a second helicopter

Welcome to our #HELI2 campaign, where every contribution takes us one step closer to securing a second lifeline for the people of Cornwall. Cornwall Air Ambulance has been a beacon of hope since 1987, responding to over 32,000 missions and touching countless lives. But our mission to save lives continues, and with your help, we aim to extend our reach further and offer our critical care expertise to even more individuals in their moments of greatest need.

Appeal breakdown:

Over 1,000 missions annually

Our team of dedicated paramedics and doctors work tirelessly to provide critical care to those facing life-threatening situations. Our current helicopter, the advanced AW169, has been a vital tool in this endeavor, ensuring swift responses and top-notch medical care. However, as the demands on our service grow, so does the need for more resources to maintain and expand our life-saving operations.

Extending our reach

Imagine a second helicopter soaring through Cornwall’s skies, doubling our capacity to reach individuals in dire situations. With a price tag exceeding £10 million, securing a top-of-the-line aircraft is a significant undertaking. Thanks to the unwavering support of our incredible donors, we’ve already made remarkable progress, raising two-thirds of the required funds. But there’s more work to be done, and we’re inviting you to be a part of this transformative journey.

How you can help

Join us in securing a brighter future for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Your donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to our goal. Whether you’re an individual, a business, or a community group, your involvement in funding Blades of Hope will have a profound impact. Every pound donated contributes to our mission and brings us closer to the day when a second helicopter takes to the skies, ready to save more lives.
