Cornwall Air Ambulance opened its doors for the annual Spring Plant Sale on Saturday 18th May.
Around 700 green-fingered visitors attended, raising over £5000 for the charity. As well as picking up plants, visitors also took the opportunity to meet the crew, see the helicopter up close, enter the Grand Draw to win a MINI and grab a bargain from the pop-up charity shop.
Falmouth Shout entertained the masses, performing sea shanties and Rapid Relief Team returned once again with a tasty barbecue.
Gemma Kidd, In-house Events Fundraising Officer, said: “The Spring Plant Sale continues to be one of our most popular and well supported events. Thank you to all who came along.
“We are so grateful to the many local garden centres and nurseries who have donated to the sale- a huge thank you to all of them.
“Cornwall Air Ambulance carries out more the 800 lifesaving missions each year. All the money raised at the Spring Plant Sale will go towards keeping the air ambulance flying and saving lives across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.”
