Cornwall Air Ambulance crew were involved in a multi-agency response to help a group of coasteerers inside a blowhole at Trevone on Wednesday 17 July.
The helicopter landed at the site just after 2.30pm following reports of a person injured while coasteering in the area.
With the help of Padstow and Newquay Coastguards, Dr Dave Ashton-Cleary was lowered around 100ft into the blowhole to assess the patient. One person was treated on scene for a broken ankle and recovered from the blowhole by stretcher.
The patient was transported to hospital by our colleagues at SWASFT. The helicopter returned to base at 4.25pm.
