Helicopter pleasure flight company Adventure 001 has donated £42,000 to Cornwall Air Ambulance from their 2021 summer flights.
The company raised the money from their pleasure trips at various sites across the UK, including Cornwall for 10 days over the summer. Adventure 001 has raised an incredible £250,000 for the lifesaving air ambulance service over the last decade.
Jess Sadler, Charter and Bespoke Manager of Adventure 001, said: “We are continually inspired and moved by the vital and lifesaving efforts carried out by the Cornwall Air Ambulance every year. The donation was only made possible by the incredible support received from both local people and businesses.
“We would like to say a special thanks to the owners of the St Ives farm where we have operated flights for the past 11 years, as well as Perranporth Airfield and Land’s End Airport for their welcoming hospitality this year. Without these venues the event would not be possible. Thank you to Cornwall Fire and Rescue for their huge support this year to ensure the events ran both safely and smoothly. And lastly, we would like to thank all the locals and visitors alike for flying with us and making the event such a great success this year.”
The flights currently take place at 52 sites across the UK, with the Cornwall flights taking off from St Ives and Land’s End. Adventure 001 plans to continue supporting Cornwall Air Ambulance for many more years.
Sherelle Puertas, Fundraising Officer for Cornwall Air Ambulance, said: “We are delighted to receive a generous donation from Adventure 001 once again. The company has raised a substantial amount of money for Cornwall Air Ambulance over the years and is one of our biggest corporate supporters. The donations that they raised have helped to save countless lives throughout Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.”
