Former BBC Spotlight presenter Justin Leigh is set to host a Carol Concert in Truro this winter to raise money for Cornwall Air Ambulance.
The concert, which will feature performances from St Dennis Band and Hit & Miss among others, will take place at Truro Methodist Church on Thursday 2 December.
During the concert the audience will also hear from a member of the Cornwall Air Ambulance crew, and a patient who has been helped by the service.
Mr Leigh said: “I am delighted to supporting the Cornwall Air Ambulance Christmas concert. During my 30 years at the BBC in the South West I reported on some of the many incredible lifesaving missions carried out by the service, and as a Cornishman I am very proud of the way the people of Cornwall support the air ambulance. After another difficult year for all of us I can’t think of a better reason to get together and celebrate the festive season and show our continuing support for the brilliant air ambulance team.”
The Carol Concert is sponsored by charity ambassador Dr Karen J Dickens and Comitti Boats UK & Caribbean.
Karen Hurn, Philanthropy Manager at Cornwall Air Ambulance, said: “We are very grateful to have some of the top musicians in Cornwall performing at the concert. Not only is there live music, but also the chance to hear from the crew and someone saved by the service, so it will be a very special evening. Tickets are limited, so be sure to get yours before they sell out.”
Tickets for the concert are £10/£7.50 for concessions. 100% of the sales of tickets will go directly to the charity, to help save lives in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
