We will be hosting an array of exciting talent from Cornwall with big names Josh Curnow and Lottee Brown alongside fantastic new talent. Feel good music for the whole family with folk, reggae, indie-rock, salsa, soul, and a lot more. And finally, the magnificent sounds of Fleetwood Mac will echo around Scorrier as Cornwall’s very own Tango in the Night will bring Helifest 2024 to a close.

Josh Curnow

Since making it through to the Live Semi Finals of ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent in 2016, which saw him playing to an estimated home audience of 18 million and having online praise from big house names such as Green Day, the name Josh Curnow has rocketed into the public eye.
Josh is a full-time singer-songwriter based in Cornwall who has played all over Europe supporting the likes of Scouting for Girls and K.T Tunstall and playing events such as Glastonbury festival and the British Grand Prix.

The Barefoot Bandit are a sparkly new-wave reggae/dub band based in Devon. Their sound comprises of an electrifying blend of modern roots reggae, bass-heavy riddims, deep dark dub and spine-tingling brass lines Building a strong and loyal fan base, TBB have spread their sounds far and wide packing out shows at prestigious venues such as the Electric Ballroom in Camden along with playing at Glastonbury Festival, Boardmasters, Boomtown Fair, and more. The Barefoot Bandit have become a must watch act on the UK touring and festival circuit.

Presenting an authentic Fleetwood Mac show, Tango in the Night are a group of 8 highly experienced musicians, some boasting West End stage and session player pedigree. The band are dedicated to meticulously recreating the very best of Fleetwood Mac through their fantastic live shows – you would think you were listening to the real thing!

Whether you like the innovative and highly original blues rock of Peter Greens 60’s line up, or the band’s timeless hits from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. Tango in The Night deliver the timeless Fleetwood Mac classics, with a performance second to none.

Samba Cambada, a community salsa band are based in West Cornwall. Playing and performing for over 25 years in carnivals and events throughout Cornwall, they bring the party to any carnival!!
Helifest Band Rachael Watson And The Rakels

Rachael Watson & the Rakels

The Rakels’ are a four-piece indie-rock band from North Cornwall, founded by singer-songwriter Rachael Watson. Playing alongside Fergal Donnellon (lead guitar), Sam Lakey (bass) and Harris Hill (drums) they take inspiration from many genres; including indie, soul and jazz, to create an up-beat and harmonically diverse sound. Having spent the winter recording their original music, they’re excited to get gigging again across the South-West this summer.

Change the Letter

The Sound of Kernowfornia! Highly touted project from the heart of Cornwall, fusing American rock and country influence with British folk songwriting to craft honest, relatable, and memorable songs. Change the Letter are an alternative/roots music duo from Cornwall, England, formed in the autumn of 2018 by songwriters Rob Phillimore and Rob Griffiths. Think Bon Jovi, Tom Petty, Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene, Paul Weller. This mix of influences allows Change the Letter to seamlessly switch and blend traditional roots music and American rock with classic British rock and indie styles, making a live performance from the band a varied and enjoyable affair, with catchy hooks and authentic, sing-along lyrics.
Helifest Band Lotte Brown

Lottee Brown

Lottee Brown is a singer/songwriter from Cornwall. Starting her career at 14, she immediately made an impact with her blues powerhouse vocals, influenced by the likes of Big Mama Thornton (the now Bessie Smith), Sister Rosetta Tharpe (the original soul sister) and Janis Joplin. Lottee was subsequently dubbed ‘The New Blue Eyed Queen of Soul’. Lottee has a depth of emotionality to her voice that enables her to deliver a wide range of genres including soul ballads and belting RnB songs. Lottee is currently working on her first album with Vikki St Leger and Gary Williams which is out very soon. 

Helifest Band True Foxes

True Foxes

True Foxes are a female folk/pop duo from Cornwall. Cousins Amie (Lead Vocals/ guitar) and Chloe (Vocal harmonies/ bass) blend together atmospheric harmonies to create hauntingly beautiful melodies. Their music has been influenced by artists including First Aid Kit and Bruce Springsteen which can be heard through the duo’s originals from their EP – Sunny-; performed live on BBC radio and now available across all major streaming platforms!

Expect to find an exciting range of Blue Light Services, with attendance from your Cornwall Air Ambulance crew, Cornwall Blood Bikes, British Army, Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service, HM Coastguard, NHS, Devon & Cornwall Police, RNLI and West Cornwall Search & Rescue.
