Helifest promises a day of great music and festival fun to celebrate the hard work of Cornwall’s vital blue light services. Watch demonstrations, meet your local services, and let your children explore the various emergency vehicles, as well as meet your very own Cornwall Air Ambulance crew and helicopter!

This is your chance to meet your Cornwall Air Ambulance paramedics and pilots! They will be available through the day to answer any questions you may have about your helicopter and our critical care service. They are excited to welcome you to Helifest this year.

Cornwall Blood Bikes

A team of volunteer members who are dedicated to providing a weekday ‘out of hours’ service from 17:00 to 07:00 and a 24 hour Weekend and Bank Holiday service supporting our NHS partners with whom we have formal agreements to deliver essential Human Blood, Pathology Samples, Medication, Medical Equipment, Medical Notes and occasionally Donor Breast Milk to the NHS hospitals and hospices throughout Cornwall and beyond. HM Coastguard

HM Coastguard coordinates all maritime search and rescue (SAR) operations in the UK through a network of coastguard stations, operating 24 hours a day. Staff in operations rooms coordinate the response to a variety of incidents from lost or missing people to climbers stuck on cliffs or vessels missing at sea. Come and chat to the men and women who make saving lives their number one priority.

Cornwall’s volunteer lifeboat crews are ready to launch 24/7. With 238 lifeboat stations around the coasts of the UK and Ireland, the RNLI has created a ring of safety to help protect and save those in peril at sea. Meet the crew who risk their lives on every mission to save those in need.

West Cornwall Search And Rescue

West Cornwall Search & Rescue

West Cornwall Search and Rescue Team (WCSAR) operates a voluntary search and rescue capability across the far southwest of mainland Britain. The team’s unpaid volunteers are available 24/7, 365 days a year to support the emergency services to search for lost, missing and injured people. Devon & Cornwall 4x4 Rescue

Devon and Cornwall 4×4 Response is a group of unpaid volunteer 4×4 drivers who are willing to put their specialist vehicles and skills at the disposal of the Emergency Services and other public bodies, for emergency logistical support. They are available to transport emergency staff or supplies in severe weather or other emergencies working closely with Police, Fire, Ambulance etc and Health and Social Services.
