Ann’s Cottage generously sponsors both Cornwall Air Ambulances

Cornwall Air Ambulance is delighted that Ann’s Cottage has generously agreed to sponsor both Cornwall Air Ambulances, with the company’s logo now appearing on the side of the helicopters.

Premium surf and lifestyle retailer Ann’s Cottage is extremely proud to announce it has agreed to sponsor both serving Cornwall Air Ambulance helicopters.

Taking to the skies back in 1987 this year sees the Cornwall Air Ambulance celebrate their 30th anniversary, completing more than 26,000 missions and saving countless lives across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. One of those saved by this essential service is daughter of Ann’s Cottage owner and Managing Director Rob Harris, Sophie Harris, making the charity particularly close to his heart which has seen Ann’s Cottage support the charity for 13 consecutive years.

Robert Harris, Owner and Managing Director of Ann’s Cottage, said: “Supporting the Cornwall Air Ambulance has been an absolute pleasure over the years; it’s a charity that really makes an incredible difference saving lives. After my daughter Sophie suffered life threatening injuries in a road traffic accident in 2004 it was the quick response and medical care given to Sophie from the emergencies services including the Cornwall Air Ambulance that saved her life! To have the opportunity to sponsor the helicopters for the next 12 months is an absolute honour.”

Cornwall Air Ambulance is on scene within an average 12 minute time frame in mainland Cornwall. The paramedic aircrew provide pre-hospital critical care at the scene of the incident and can go on to fly to specialist hospital units in Cornwall or Devon and as far as Bristol and Swansea if required. This lifesaving service however is totally reliant on the generosity of the public and sponsorships from organisations such as Ann’s Cottage.

Paula Martin, Chief Executive at Cornwall Air Ambulance, said: “As a charity we rely on the support of the people and businesses of Cornwall to keep the air ambulance flying, so we are incredibly grateful to Ann’s Cottage for its generosity in sponsoring the air ambulance helicopters.

Ann’s Cottage is a classic Cornish brand which has supported Cornwall Air Ambulance for many years. We’re pleased to display the company’s logo on the MD902 helicopters to show the people of Cornwall that Ann’s Cottage is helping to save lives.”
