A closing down sale will be held at the Cornwall Air Ambulance Saltash charity shop, with all items sold at half-price.
A tough retail climate has led the lifesaving charity to make the difficult decision to close the store in Fore Street at the end of July.
Joanne Harris, the charity’s Retail Area Manager, said:
“The people of Saltash have given fantastic support to the town’s Cornwall Air Ambulance shop for many years and we have been proud to run a store with a dedicated team of volunteers from the local community.
“As a charity, Cornwall Air Ambulance must ensure every penny spent helps achieve our goal of keeping the helicopter flying and saving lives. A tough retail climate means that with great regret. we have made the decision to close the doors of the charity’s Saltash store at the end of July.
“I’d like to thank all the volunteers who have helped run the shop, our customers and those who have donated items to be sold. Your support helped save lives. We will be holding a half-price sale during July on all items in the store.”
Cornwall Air Ambulance Charity would like to inform the public of any bogus petitions online or in our stores that are indicating that Cornwall Council may be responsible for the closure of our store in Saltash. Cornwall Council have nothing to do with the reason the store is closing.
