Cornwall Air Ambulance called to reports of child in collision with car

Cornwall Air Ambulance was called into action following reports that a child had been involved in a collision with a car on Henver Road in Newquay.

The crew on board the charity’s helicopter took to the skies following a 999 call for help at 3.07pm on Thursday 26 January. They arrived on scene within minutes where the youngster was being treated by land ambulance crews.

The child required hospital treatment and so was taken on board the air ambulance before being flown to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth. The air ambulance then returned to its Newquay airbase.
