Cornwall Air Ambulance is delighted to announce that it has opened a freshly designed shop in a brand-new location in Wadebridge.
Each year the Cornwall Air Ambulance shops bring in over £1million in vital funds, helping to provide our lifesaving service across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. In 2023 the crew attended 35 incidents in the Wadebridge area, so far this year it is over 20.
The town’s new store, located on The Platt, has been given a considered, clean and modern look whilst also promoting the charity’s lifesaving work.
It has been designed with a sense of identity and community in mind, linking the store to its surroundings and bringing in wooden and metal finishes to represent how nature meets industry in our mining history. Look out for the beautifully engraved wooden backdrop at the till point, depicting the Camel Estuary from sea to land featuring cyclists and walkers.
Lisa Pompa, Shop Manager at Wadebridge, said: “The team has worked really hard to bring the space to life, it’s one our supporters can really experience and enjoy. We have created new shopping ‘zones’, featured units to showcase special items, and to celebrate the hard work of our volunteers we’ve given them a platform in which to interact with supporters, where you can say hello and discover their sorting and steaming space. We hope you’ll enjoy shopping pre-loved as its best and know that every purchase is helping to save lives at the same time.”
A dedicated donation drop-off zone has also been created in the shop, with the opportunity to easily sign up to Gift Aid on all donated items. Every £1 Cornwall Air Ambulance makes from selling donated items will generate an extra 25p for the charity, if you join the scheme.
The new Wadebridge shop is open 9.30am-4pm Monday to Saturday at The Platt, PL27 7AE.
