As well as receiving the key to the door, new homeowners at a housing development in Newquay will be helping to keep Cornwall Air Ambulance flying.

Morrish Builders and Bradleys Estate Agents have generously agreed to donate £200 to the charity each time a home is sold at the Nansledan development, located on the edge of the coastal town a short distance from the air ambulance HQ.

The companies will also be taking part in various fundraising activities to support Cornwall Air Ambulance over the coming year.

Joint Managing Director Steven Morrish said: “We are delighted to be able to support Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust which undertakes such a vital role in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. This relationship supports our company ethos of placing the community at the heart of all the projects we undertake. We look forward to working together as the Nanslesdan development progresses in Newquay.”

Inspired by HRH The Prince of Wales’ vision, the Nansledan development is being built on Duchy of Cornwall land. The development uses sustainable principles and is based on traditional Cornish architecture.

Chris Baxter, director of Bradleys Estate Agents, said: “We are pleased to be supporting Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust with this agreement. The charity is benefitting earlier than we first thought due to successful sales and earlier completions.”

Welcoming the new relationship, Jackie Southon, Head of Income Generation at Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust, said: “As a charity, the generosity and support of businesses like Morrish Builders and Bradleys Estate Agents is vital in helping to keep Cornwall Air Ambulance flying. The Nansledan development is quite close to our Newquay airbase, so we’re delighted to hear the first homes are being sold and we’ll soon have new neighbours moving in.”
