Fighting fit Newquay Lions hosted a night of amateur boxing to raise money for Cornwall Air Ambulance.
The event was held at the Hotel Bristol in Newquay at end of January and raised a whopping £500 for the charity that carries out around 700 lifesaving missions every year across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
Newquay Lions’ President Denis Dent, Senior Vice President David Hall and fundraising team member Graham Willmott presented the money to Cornwall Air Ambulance pilot Captain Craig Webster and fundraiser Becky Wise on Sunday 19 February.
Becky said: “Newquay Lions have been fantastic supporters of Cornwall Air Ambulance for many years so we were delighted to invite them back to the airbase and thank them for their generous donation. Without the support of organisations like Newquay Lions and the people of Cornwall, the air ambulance and its crew would not be able to keep flying and saving lives.”
