Cornwall Air Ambulance was tasked as part of a multi-agency response to a mass shooting in Keyham, Plymouth last night (Thursday 12 August).

Emergency services were called to the incident just after 6pm. Cornwall Air Ambulance landed near the scene alongside Devon Air Ambulance, Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance and other colleagues from the emergency services.

A spokesperson for Cornwall Air Ambulance said: “Our thoughts and deepest condolences go to everyone who has been affected by the shocking incident in Plymouth. The crew worked closely with emergency services from across the South West, under what were very challenging circumstances. We would like to thank everyone who has got in touch with the charity to offer messages of support for the crew involved. It’s thanks to the support of the public that Cornwall Air Ambulance can respond to incidents every day.”
