Critical Care Paramedic Paul Maskell loves a running challenge, and he is taking on one with a difference to raise money for the Heli2 Appeal.
Paul will be running for 36 hours straight whilst chained to his friend, Paul Stevens, in the ‘chained’ Escape from Meriden race.
Starting in Solihull at midnight on Friday 15th November and finishing at midday on Sunday 17th November, the aim is to get as far away as possible by foot in that 36-hour period whilst chained together and being completely self-sufficient.
Paul said: “I’m always up for trying a new running challenge and even better when it can help to raise the vital funds we need to secure a second AW169 helicopter. Owning a second aircraft will boost our resilience, versatility and capability, meaning we can attend more missions by air across our 19-hour a day service. Thank you to everyone for all their support and generous donations.”
The pair of Pauls will be pushing their limits to raise vital funds for the Cornwall Air Ambulance Heli2 Appeal, to help bring your second lifesaving helicopter to Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
