Cornwall Air Ambulance receives £50,000 donation from Adventure 001

Helicopter pleasure flight company Adventure 001 has donated £50,000 to Cornwall Air Ambulance from their Cornwall summer event programme during 2022.

This year is the 12^th in a row the company has supported the lifesaving charity and it is their biggest donation yet, bringing their total donations to Cornwall Air Ambulance to an amazing £300,000.

Jess Sadler, Charter and Bespoke Manager at Adventure 001, said: “As a team, we are continually inspired by the incredible work of the Cornwall Air Ambulance and appreciate how vital they are in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

“This could not be possible without the huge support we receive from locals and businesses alike.

“A special thanks to the owners of St Ives Farm where we have operated our scenic flights for the past 12 years. Additionally Land’s End Airport and Perranporth Airfield who have accommodated us for our flights over the summer. Additional thanks to the team at Penzance Heliport and Cornwall Fire & Rescue.”

Adventure 001 operates pleasure flights in Cornwall during the summer months and this year became the first commercial helicopter operator to operate flights using a proportion of Sustainable Aviation Fuel.

Julia Jeffery, Fundraising Officer at Cornwall Air Ambulance, said: “This is a significant donation to Cornwall Air Ambulance, which could help to fund around 10-15 lifesaving missions, keeping more families together. We are incredibly grateful and would like to say a big thank you to Adventure 001 for their continued support.”
