With National Cream Tea Day just around the corner, Cornwall Air Ambulance is encouraging supporters to hold their own afternoon tea to raise funds for the charity.
The national day, which celebrates scones topped with jam and clotted cream, takes place on Friday 28 June.
Supporters are being asked to hold their own Great Cornish Cream Tea to mark the occasion and help bring a new helicopter to Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
Amy Richards, New Heli Appeal Manager, said: “Hosting a Great Cornish Cream Tea in aid of the New Heli Appeal is a great way of getting everyone together to have fun in aid of a good cause. It doesn’t matter how much you raise- there’s no fundraising target and you can host your own afternoon tea whenever you like.
“It’s the perfect opportunity to indulge and catch up with friends over a cup of tea, knowing that any money you do raise will go towards saving more time and more lives in Cornwall.”
Cornwall Air Ambulance charity shops will kick-start the cream tea campaign with bake sales at their stores across Cornwall on Saturday 29 June.
