A new alcohol-free beer made by a Cornish brewery has been launched in support of Cornwall Air Ambulance.
Padstow Brewing Company is kindly donating 10p from the sale of every can of ‘Crew Brew’ to the charity.
Crew Brew is a specially crafted pale ale and is a hop-forward, alcohol free beer (0.5% ABV). Padstow Brewing Co says that featuring a grist made up of floor-malted maris otter barley, with oats and wheat to add body, it’s a “refreshing beer, filled with wonderful tropical aromas and flavours, and ending on a relaxed bitter finish.”
Simon Howers, General Manager and Brewer at Padstow Brewing Company, said:
“We are hugely excited to be supporting the Cornwall Air Ambulance Heli2 Appeal. As a small business, we are embedded in the local community, and we understand how vital the lifesaving work of the air ambulance is – particularly in a rural community such as Cornwall.
“It seemed very appropriate for the beer to be an alcohol-free beer – our first alcohol free beer – which has been the result of a prolonged period of testing to ensure that it is a great tasting product in line with the rest of our beers. Alcohol free beers are a growing part of the craft beer market, and it’s very exciting to be able to launch this one with the Cornwall Air Ambulance!”
Cans of Crew Brew can be purchased via the Padstow Brewing Co online shop and as take-away items from their tasting rooms in Padstow. Crew Brew will also be sold on tap at their tasting rooms, whereby 12.9p per pint will be donated to Cornwall Air Ambulance.
Julia Jeffery, Corporate Fundraising Officer at Cornwall Air Ambulance, said:
“We are very grateful to the wonderful support of Padstow Brewing Company, who are passionate about raising vital funds that enable the highly skilled crew of Cornwall Air Ambulance provide pre-hospital critical care to the most seriously ill and injured people across the county. It is this support that helps to save lives.”
