The annual Spring Plant Sale returns to Cornwall Air Ambulance headquarters next week for the seventh year running.Garden lovers will be able to pick up plants at reduced prices, while supporting the lifesaving charity, at the event on Saturday 18 May.
A number of local nurseries and garden centres have donated plants for the sale, which will include roses, shrubs and bedding plants.
Around 600 visitors attended the last Spring Plant Sale, raising more than £3,000 for the charity. As well as picking up plants, visitors will have the opportunity to meet the crew, see the helicopter up close and grab a bargain from the pop-up charity shop.
Falmouth Shout will be performing sea shanties and Rapid Relief Team will be providing a barbecue.
Gemma Kidd, In-house Events Fundraising Officer, said: “The Spring Plant Sale is one of our most popular events. If you love gardening, it’s a great opportunity to pick up good quality plants at reduced prices.
“We are delighted to have the support of so many local garden centres and nurseries who have donated to the sale- a huge thank you to all of them.
“Cornwall Air Ambulance carries out more the 800 lifesaving missions each year. All the money raised at the Spring Plant Sale will go towards keeping the air ambulance flying and saving lives across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.”
The Spring Plant Sale takes place on Saturday 18 May, from 11am-3pm at Trevithick Downs, Newquay, TR8 4DY.
