Cornwall Air Ambulance is in the running to receive a cash boost from the Tesco Bags of Help initiative.
The lifesaving charity is asking for public support throughout July and August to win up to £25,000 towards the New Heli Appeal.
Shoppers in Tesco stores Cornwall are given a token when they make a purchase, which they can use to vote for the charity of their choice.
Cath Collier, Trusts and Grants Fundraiser for Cornwall Air Ambulance, said: “We are delighted to be one of the chosen charities for the special centenary Tesco Bags of Help scheme. It’s a very important year for Cornwall Air Ambulance and it would be wonderful to secure the top prize of £25,000 to go towards the medical fit of the new helicopter.
“If you shop in Tesco, make sure you get a token and please vote for your local lifesaving charity.”
Grants of £25,000, £15,000 and £10,000 are available through the initiative to celebrate Tesco’s Centenary. Shoppers can vote for Cornwall Air Ambulance until the end of August.
