Four members of the Cornwall Air Ambulance fundraising team are pushing themselves to their limits as they take on a series of challenges for the end of the Heli2 Appeal.
The team, who want to help make a lifesaving impact, have spent many months training and putting themselves through their paces.
Their month of fundraising will start on the 22nd of March when Bobby will be taking on his first HYROX event in Malaga, testing his strength and endurance. HYROX combines both running and functional workout stations, where participants run 1km, followed by one functional workout station, repeated eight times.
Two weeks later on the 6th of April Morwenna and Sherelle will be running their first half marathon, the London Landmarks Half, as they push themselves to run their furthest ever distance.
Donna will then conclude their fundraising challenge by running her first full marathon in Manchester on the 27th of April.
Donna said: “We’re really excited to be the ones taking on the fundraising challenges for a change! We get to meet so many inspiring people who raise money for our charity, and we thought the end of the Heli2 Appeal was the perfect time to give it a go ourselves. We see firsthand every day the difference that the service makes for the people of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, and we’re incredibly proud to be part of that.”
Between them, the team are hoping to raise £1,000 in vital funds for Cornwall Air Ambulance.
