Cornwall Air Ambulance is delighted to announce that its one-day blue light festival is making a return this summer.
Helifest promises a day of great music and fun to celebrate the hard work of Cornwall’s vital emergency services.
Come and meet teams from Devon & Cornwall Police, Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service, RNLI, Cornwall Blood Bikes, and of course the paramedics and pilots of Cornwall Air Ambulance, who will each be showcasing their crucial work to support people across the Duchy.
Alongside this there will be live local music, the return of our popular circus, lots of children’s entertainment and plenty of great local food traders on site, as the event returns to Padstow.
Last year, over 2,000 people turned out to enjoy the first event in perfect weather. Visitors were able to see the charity’s AW169 helicopter up close for the first time, as well as meet some of the crew.
Fundraising Officer Rob Foster said: “We’re really excited to be bringing Helifest back to the people of Cornwall. 2022 was the first event of its kind and was well attended, and this year we’re hoping to build on that success and make it even bigger and better.
“The festival allows you to learn about Cornwall’s blue light services, have fun, try some great food, and hear some talented local musicians, all while supporting Cornwall Air Ambulance. It’s your support that helps to make sure your helicopter can keep flying and the crew can continue to save lives.”
This year’s live music features something for everyone, with the line-up including Rewind Radio, Sambada Cambada, Rachael Watson, True Foxes, Change the Letter, Cobweb Crew, Josh Curnow, 3 Daft Monkeys and The Barefoot Bandit.
Helifest is supported and sponsored by John Bray Cornish Holidays, Absolute Canvas and Rewind Radio.
The event is taking place at Padstow on Saturday 15th July. Parking is available on site.
Tickets cost £8 for adults, £5 for children, and family tickets are available too.
