Frequently Asked
Questions – Helifest

Your Helifest questions, answered

With a large charity event like Helifest, it is natural that you may have some questions! Below we have compiled a list of FAQs that will hopefully answer your question, if not please get in contact with us below.

The main festival arena opens at 11am on Saturday 6th July 2024  and runs through to 20:30.

When you buy your ticket online via Ticket Taylor, your ticket will be emailed to the email address you provided, please ensure you enter the correct email address. Simply print this out or show your tickets on your phone and bring it with you to the entrance of the festival where it will be scanned, you will also be given a wristband.

If you have lost your tickets, then you can have your tickets resent to your email address by heading to Ticket Tailor. Scroll to the very bottom of the page and find the ‘need help or lost your ticket’ option on the white bar and choose ‘click here’ (this is next to the privacy policy link) and follow the instructions. The tickets will be sent immediately to your email address.

On the day if you have any issues, please bring a suitable ID to the registration area and we will find you on our system.

If a customer is unable to attend without a personal assistant, you can apply for a pa ticket free of charge. Please note the customer must purchase all other tickets and then email in to enquiries@cornwallairambulancetrust.org. We will require your ticket number and your full name before we can distribute a pa ticket.

All tickets are non-refundable. In the unlikely event that Helifest is cancelled due to weather then we will be in contact with you.

If attending with children, we will give you a wristband at the entrance for them. We ask you to write a contact number on the wristband so that if a child goes missing, we can contact the parent/guardian. Please see the map for the designated area to report a missing child.

Car parking is included in your ticket price. The onsite car park has one access in and out and so there will be marshals managing the flow of traffic, please drive slowly and adhere to their instructions.

There will be a designated parking section for blue badge holders, and we will have volunteers on standby and available to provide any assistance that may be required.

Please note parking is in a field and the event site is also a grass field. There are road tracks between the parking lot and the event space.

We accommodate customers with disabilities / accessibility needs wherever possible. As much as we’d like to, we can’t control the weather, so bear in mind that should it rain, the festival may be muddy and there are not any solid pathways.

This is a very strict no. Our AW169 helicopter will be operational on the day as well as Adventure001 having their helicopter flying, therefore it is dangerous to have a drone in the air.  Due to health and safety, we cannot permit the use of any personal drones during the festival. We may have a licensed drone operator using a drone at designated times.

We will have a security team in place on the day operating within the festival. There is zero tolerance for antisocial behavior and the use of any illegal substances.

If you see or hear anything, please let the nearest security person know about it. No glass is allowed on site anywhere and will be confiscated if found.

Unfortunately, as much as we love dogs, we are unable to allow them to enter the site. This rule is in place as we do not want to cause any unnecessary stress to any animal, which may occur due to crowds, loud noises from the helicopter, blue light vehicles, and the live music.

With our very own AW169 helicopter being operational on the day, we cannot allow the risk of a dog to escape from its lead and run towards it, or any other risk element.

Therefore, we ask you kindly to please keep your dog at home or with friends as they will not be permitted on site.

Great Western Railway runs trains to and throughout Cornwall. Redruth is just a short taxi journey to Scorrier Estate. Book your tickets today at gwr.com.  By car, simply follow the directions on the map or use the address Scorrier, Redruth TR16 5AW in your satnav.

Once you get close, simply look for festival signs and head for the main entrance. If you’re on your phone, you can use Google Maps or Apple Maps for more accurate directions.

I’m afraid we are not offering any blue light discount for Helifest. As an emergency service ourselves we are extremely understanding of the difficult jobs all Blue Light services do.  To reflect this, we have tried to ensure that ticket prices reflect the cost of living and as such are kept as low as possible, to ensure that as many people as possible are able to attend and celebrate the work of all the services. We therefore believe the value of the ticket is a fair reflection of this and will still allow the charity to fundraise in order to keep the helicopter flying and saving lives.

We do very much value your interest and hope to see you there on the day.
