Represent us on the road
Help us keep donation jars topped up across Cornwall and enjoy beautiful Cornwall while helping keep our helicopter in the sky.
What is a Jar Collector? Some of our volunteers spend one day a week out and about across Cornwall. They work as a team of two in a charity van to collect full charity jars (or collection tins) and swap for empty ones in all of the pubs, shops, holiday sites and more.
Our jar collectors make the world of difference
When you become a jar collector, your team will support each other with cash handling, writing receipts and safely transporting the jars back to HQ.
A huge part of this role is meeting, greeting and thanking supporters all over Cornwall – they are our representatives in the community. They chat to supporters from Lands’ End to Torpoint, and get to see our beautiful county in the process!
You’ll see here, one our happy supporters from Da Bara Bakery.

At events I am promoting the charity… always having fun whilst wearing my red uniform!

Investing in volunteers
We are proud to be accredited by Investing in Volunteers—the UK quality standard for good practice in volunteer management.
Our Groundcrew volunteers are a vital part of our team, we would not be able to provide the service that we do without their support. Because of this, we want to ensure that they have the best possible time volunteering with us, gaining skills, experience, friendship and having fun.
Investing in Volunteers is an amazing accreditation which reflects how much we value and listen to our Groundcrew.
