Make a difference in your town and volunteer at your local charity shop
Our shops are a vital source of income and community engagement. As a volunteer, you might sort and prepare donations, steam and display clothes and bric-a-brac, serve customers and promote the charity’s work.
We’re looking for friendly, detail-oriented people who love working with the public and have a few hours to give each week.
Bring your creativity and customer service skills to our local shops.
Getting an item from a donation bag to the shop floor involves a whole team of volunteers who have to sort through the donations, steam clothing, clean bric a brac, and then price and display on the shop floor in a way that will attract a customer.
If a customer chooses to buy, the volunteer on the till has to take payment and receipt, all while being friendly and making them feel welcome.
We sell mostly donated goods, so every item is different. We have to adapt and create great displays with a range of items all to attract the eye for a purchase. The shop has to be safe, clean and tidy, with a thought for what customers and our teams are going to see, hear and smell.

The work itself is varied and fun. Anything from helping on the tills to unpacking and preparing donations. We never know what we will find next!
