Truro Shop Volunteer
We are opening a brand new store in the summer and we need you.
Our charity shops are a hive of activity, perfect for socialising and meeting new people. Store volunteers sort and price donated goods, create window displays and serve customers. You’ll be part of a thriving team under our store manager. Giving your time at your new charity store will help save lives and we would love to hear from you if you have some time to give.
There are a variety of roles and hours to choose from.

Help out at a charity shop
Our charity shops
Our charity shops are a hive of activity, perfect for socialising. Volunteers sort and price donated goods, create window displays and serve customers in our shops in Camborne, Helston, Newquay, St Austell and Wadebridge.
Get involved at events
Man a stall or dress up at an exciting event
Cornwall Air Ambulance is supported by so many events throughout the county. Volunteers represent the charity at them by manning a stall, selling raffle tickets, guiding the car parking or even dressing up as the charity mascot Aircrew Andy! It’s a great way to meet people and enjoy the best of Cornwall’s events.
Provide support at our airbase HQ
Play a vital role in our office headquarters
There are many opportunities to help at the Newquay airbase with plenty of opportunities to see the air ambulance.
Reception is run by volunteers and this varied role includes answering phones, welcoming visitors and computer work.
The fundraising office is always seeking extra help with telephone liaison, computer research and straightforward database work.
Volunteers are vital to collecting and counting the funds raised in the jars sitting on counters throughout the county – a great reason to get out and about.

The step by step guide to becoming a volunteer
- Step One: An application is made via the charity website on the official volunteer application form below.
- Step Two: The prospective volunteer is contacted to arrange an informal interview.
- Step Three: The prospective volunteer has an informal interview where the charity will ask questions and the prospective volunteer can also ask questions.
- Step Four: A decision will be made and communicated after the informal interview. The volunteer will be notified of this decision either verbally or by post.
