The stories that define us

Nobody wakes up in the morning expecting to take a ride in the air ambulance, but each day the highly-skilled critical care paramedics, doctors and pilots of Cornwall Air Ambulance attend an average of three people in need of urgent critical care.

When every minute matters, the speed of the air ambulance can be the difference between life and death, between a family kept together or broken apart. For our team and crew meeting past patients and learning about their experiences is always an emotional experience.

Read their stories below to learn how those patients survived their darkest hours thanks to the care they received and the support you provide.
