Hamilton Medical has become the latest business to sponsor a crew uniform for Cornwall Air Ambulance.
The company, which provides the intelligent ventilation system used on board the air ambulance, has pledged £2,000 to the lifesaving charity.
Critical Care Paramedic Kris Lethbridge proudly wears a Hamilton Medical logo on his sleeve while saving lives in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
As a charity, Cornwall Air Ambulance does not receive any government funding towards its running costs and instead relies on donations to keep flying and saving lives. Its crew carry out more than 800 missions each year to people in desperate need of medical care.
Hamilton Medical’s UK Country Manager, Paul Craigen, appreciates the importance of helping support the crew’s operations. “The service provided by the team at Cornwall Air Ambulance is invaluable to the community and we are delighted to be a sponsor. We look forward to continuing the good work with them in the future.”
Critical Care Paramedic, Kris, said: “The HAMILTON-T1 ventilator is a fantastic device to have on the helicopter. It increases the efficiency of care we give to patients, so I’m proud to have the company’s logo on my uniform.”
The charity is now looking for more businesses to sponsor the remaining uniforms of helicopter crew members.
Steph Preston-Evans, Corporate Fundraising Officer for Cornwall Air Ambulance, said: “Businesses play a huge role in ensuring the air ambulance can continue to fly and save lives in Cornwall. We’d like to say thank you to Hamilton Medical for their support and we hope more businesses will come forward and sponsor members of the aircrew.”
