Cornwall Chamber of Commerce picks Cornwall Air Ambulance as Charity of the Year

Cornwall Chamber of Commerce has chosen Cornwall Air Ambulance as its Charity of the Year. The Chamber will offer its support to the lifesaving charity by promoting activities and fundraising opportunities to its members throughout the year.

Members of the committee will also be organising their own fundraising events in aid of the New Heli Appeal, to bring a next generation air ambulance to Cornwall by 2020.

Kim Conchie, Chief Executive of Cornwall Chamber of Commerce, said: “Cornwall Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce Cornwall Air Ambulance as our Charity of the Year for 2018-19.

“It is always a pleasure to work with Cornish organisations which are leading the way, fulfilling their role with excellence and with all the values that we desire in Cornwall for the 21^st Century.

“Cornwall Air Ambulance meets all these criteria in spades while providing a much-loved and admired service which all residents and visitors know is healthcare at its best in the event of an emergency. Cornwall Chamber is really looking forward to working with our beloved Cornwall Air Ambulance over the coming year, helping them in their mission to acquire a new state of the art helicopter.”
