What Trusts and Foundations can expect when supporting us
We value and support every Trust and Foundation we work with. To us, a partnership is more than financial support. It’s about having the same values, mission and principles. It’s about shared learning, respect and support.
You can expect the following:
We’ll report back on the impact of your donation
We’ll help you tell others about the work we do together. This might include giving you key messaging and mental health stats, quotes for a press release, or social media graphics.
We’ll value your expertise and insights. We may invite you to have a conversation to shape our work and share insights with others in the sector.
WAYS your support
WILL help
- At the centre of everything we do is the people who need us the most in their hour of need, our patients, and being able to provide them with the best possible critical care service across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
- We support over 1,000 patients who are seriously ill or injured every year, but there is scope to reach even more people by air when they need us most with the purchase of a second helicopter.
- Due to the extreme demands on our aircraft, a second helicopter will significantly boost our resilience and availability
We’re stepping into an exciting future
Thanks to the public’s generosity and gifts in Wills, we’ve already raised most of the funds to buy a second AW169 helicopter – and we now only need to raise the remaining £2.85 million. Is this where you can help?
Today you can discover how much the parts of a helicopter and the service provisions cost, to support us in funding one or part of an item.
Every pledge of support counts, find out on the button all the ways you can support us.

I wasn’t aware of anyone coming until I heard the helicopter. That was the first piece of reassurance that things were going to get better. I just don’t know how anyone could have got me out of the situation I was in, with the injuries I had, without the expertise and without Cornwall Air Ambulance. I wanted to come back and shake Tom’s hand- I owe my life to that man. He’s part of Cornwall Air Ambulance and they need to be able to keep doing what they’re doing. They’re just amazing people.
David Lloyd, significant fall while on holiday.
When your child is ill, time stops. Cornwall is remarkably lucky to have this service. We’ve got a small population spread across a big area, it’s vital that we have the air ambulance to reach people in need of urgent medical care. I was in the first air ambulance and feel proud that the service started here. Just think how many more people could be saved with a next generation of helicopter.
Tim Hughes, airlifted patient & father of airlifted patient Callum.
